Less dust, greenhouse gases, water vapour, etc. to trap heat coming up from the earth's surface.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u2022As elevation increases \u2013 temperature decreases (think of going up a mountain)\u20141 degrees for every 150 meters of elevation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2022Air becomes thinner cannot conserve (keep) heat that is why pressure decreases with elevation.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nHere.
